These terms cover your use of Nuvelz, a reference app for video games. Nuvelz is made and published by an independent developer (referred to below as "we"). By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app — deleting it ends the agreement completely, because nothing of yours is held anywhere else.
Nuvelz is a searchable copy of game reference material: 19 games and 36,744 entries covering items, bosses, enemies, locations, NPCs and recipes, all of which ship inside the app. It is a reading tool. It does not connect to any game, modify any game, or interact with any publisher's service or account. It needs no account and no sign-in.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Nuvelz on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. That licence is what you get; ownership of the app stays with us.
You may not: resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app or its bundled database; extract, scrape or bulk-copy the app's data set in order to build or publish a competing product or service; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app except where that is expressly permitted by law that cannot be contracted away; remove or obscure attribution, licence notices or source links inside the app; or use the app in any way that breaks applicable law or the App Store's own terms.
Reading entries, taking notes for yourself, quoting an entry to a friend, or citing the underlying wiki source is ordinary use and is fine.
The text in Nuvelz is derived, restructured and condensed from public game wikis. Those sources are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 (CC BY-SA 3.0), and the derived text in Nuvelz carries the same licence. Every entry links to its source wiki page and to the exact revision it was derived from; the contributors are listed in that page's history. If you reuse that text elsewhere, the ShareAlike condition applies to you as well — attribute the source and keep the same licence.
Game images are not part of that licence. They belong to their respective rights holders and are not bundled with the app; they are loaded on demand from the source wiki when you view an entry, and you can switch them off entirely in Settings.
The app's own code, design, name and interface are ours and are not covered by the CC BY-SA licence above.
Game data changes with patches, and wiki text is written by volunteers and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Nuvelz reproduces what its sources said at the revision it was built from — nothing more. Do not treat an entry as authoritative. The link under every entry exists so you can check the source yourself.
Nuvelz is an unofficial, independent, fan-made reference app. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any game publisher or developer, including but not limited to Bandai Namco, FromSoftware, Bethesda Softworks, ZeniMax Media, Embark Studios, Fandom, Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. All game titles, characters, logos and marks are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the games the reference material is about. If a rights holder objects to anything in the app, write to us at the address below and we will address it.
Use Nuvelz lawfully. Do not attempt to interfere with the app's operation or with the static files it reads, do not automate requests against those files, and do not use the app to infringe anyone's rights. The app has no accounts, no user-generated content shared with anyone, and no communication features — your notes stay on your device and are never published.
Nuvelz collects no personal data about you. Your library, notes, saved entries and "owned" marks live only in your device's storage and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is no sync, no backup and no export: deleting the app permanently deletes your notes, and we cannot restore them because we never had them.
The app can send anonymous usage counts — which game was opened, which entry was viewed, how many results a search returned — but only if you switch that on; it is off by default, it carries no identifier of you or your device and never your search text or your notes, and you can switch it off again at any time in Settings. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Nuvelz is free. It contains no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no advertising, so no payment passes through the app. If that ever changes, it will be announced in the app and these terms will be updated first.
Nuvelz is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is correct, complete or current. Third-party services the app depends on for images may change, throttle or disappear at any time and are outside our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost data, lost notes, lost progress or lost time, arising from your use of or inability to use Nuvelz. Our total aggregate liability relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us; if you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.
We may update, change or discontinue the app or any part of its content at any time, including switching off the remote image layer. We may also revise these terms; when we do, the "last updated" date at the top changes and the revised text is published at this address. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. Your licence ends automatically if you breach these terms; in that case, delete the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
